2. Yes Marner can score a lot but who does he play with most of the time? A top 5 center in the League in Matthews
3. Payment. Next year Tkachuk is set to have a QO of 9mill we can sign hin to a 9×8 deal and still have 2 million dollars extra in depth

Agreed. If anything, Treliving should give the team to Tkachuk. Like move both Monahan and Gaudreau (and get things in return) while giving the team (which includes the C) to Tkachuk.

He wants out of Calgary per reports so it doesn’t matter what you offer him he’s gone likely might as well get a good player in Nylander while the getting is good

Third point is invalid if he truly wants out. He just won't sign with you at that point.

As a 3rd party, marner is worth his contract in skill if he performs in the playoffs. I have a strange feeling that he can’t handle the Toronto media and pressure to win there(Hometown). Marner has also played beside Tavares and made both of these C better than they already are. Meaning, him beside Monahan and JG he would actually have them produce in the 100’s. Losing the toughness of chucky sucks but the wins from the skill will make up for it and you can find fighters cheap. If NYR wasn’t going to be in cap he’ll shortly I’d be all about getting MM16
