Description
Trade Crookshank+41oa in 2021 for Hamilton’s signing rights to get the 8 years. Draft Lucius at 10oa.

This legitimately would be the best D lineup in the league. Something’s gotta give the year after though, Greig, Sanderson, and Gustavsson are up (but Murray does come off the books). Possible we deal Zub by then and have Thomson in on a cheaper deal. Maybe more moves depending on the progression of Sanderson/JBD/Brannstrom/Kleven/Guenette.

Top line has good chemistry, just dangerous all around (2-way play, physical, agitating, highly skilled). 2nd line will be lethal with Stutzle feeding Lucius and Brown supporting defensively. Probably the best scoring line, I think Stutzle could easily be a 90 point guy, and Lucius looks like he could eventually be a consistent 30 goal guy, maybe even 40. 3rd line is an effective matchup line, capable of shutting down opposing teams and counter-attacking quickly. Paul anchors the 4th line still, with Greig (who will likely be a 3rd line fixture, might play his off-wing to play with Formenton and Pinto), and Sokolov, who should be ready for some big league minutes by then. We’ll see how he does in a depth role with some PP2 time maybe, hopefully he turns into a 2RW power forward.

I'll just say, I have Amadio ahead of Bishop.

Pretty uncertain what Sanderson and JBD become though I could see both of them as just kinda solid at NHL level Brannstrom however not as much

So yeah still a superb d core but idk

Will it be Subban/Josi/Ellis/Ekh and matt Irwin?

They should've traded down the Sanderson pick

Nice to see Lucius taken at 10

With so much more pro experience already I could see Jarventie ahead of greig kinda mind boggling that Roby is already approaching 100 pro games 😶

67 points in those games

Granted mestis only like a 20 NHLe but still

Yeah that could work too. Don’t see either being much more than the 4C though tbh.

Not sure what point you’re trying to make, but nothing about the development of Sanderson/JBD has indicated that they’ll be anything other than excellent. Both are incredibly smart defensive defenseman already, and neither is a liability when it comes to puck moving (and Sanderson’s skating is gorgeous). Brannstrom’s already had offensive success at the NHL level and will continue to round out his game. I like Lucius at 10, he probably has the best (or at worst 2nd to Guenther) shot in the draft, and as a right shot C that could also play RW, he fills a huge positional need for the Sens, and scoring a bunch of goals never hurts.

Jarventie could probably crack the lineup by this season (2 years in the AHL seems like enough) but idk where to slot him lol, I doubt the roster stays identical to this though. Or maybe he winds up traded (Jarventie+Brannstrom is a solid package to dangle to upgrade the C or RW on the Stutzle-Lucius line).
