Description
Ladd goes on the LTIR. He hasn't played 5 games in the last 2 years due to a knee problem. I don't see him able to play again this year which will finally allow the Isles to make this much needed move. Not sure, but maybe Lou can work out a settlement deal with him so he can retire.

I think Troz and Isles are going to want to run back team (mostly) again for 1 more try. But I do think he will give finally give the kids a chance. Between Wahlstrom, Bellows and Golyshev will get a chance to play on the 3rd line. With Wahlstrom possibly playing on the 1st line sometimes with Brazal. I'd like to sign D-Jamie Oleksiak but I don't believe Dallas will let him leave. So I think Forbort from Winnipeg would be a good fit on the 3rd D line with Dobson. Aho will be our 7th Dman. Greene could be a late season pick up on the cheap for insurance.

If Isles can't get over the hump, look for major changes after the 21-22 season.

  1. Koivula, Otto
  2. Komarov, Leo
Additional Details:
There have been reports Seattle likes Bellows and Koivula. Add Koivula for Seattle to take Komarov. Seattle will want a vet with clubhouse leadership. For 1 year, this makes sense.

  1. Dal Colle, Michael
  2. Hickey, Thomas
  3. 2022 3rd round pick (NYI)
Additional Details:
Hickey goes home! He's an Alberta native. He's had some family issues (brother). We sweeten the pot for him to go home for 1 year. Dal Colle (a former #5 overall pick, a good 3rd/4th liner and a 3rd should convince Calgary.

Hickey is too expensive, send him elsewhere or buy him out

I think Beauvillier is the Islander's second best puck controller, and will get more money, he consistently gets on pace to score over 22 goals. I think he makes 4.5-5mil. Pelech is the islanders best defenseman, and as one of the moron NBC broadcasters said, is a star defenseman. He'll probably make 5.5-6mil. I see where you are coming from with the deal with Seattle, but I think they need more in that deal, maybe a second or Bellows. For the deal with Calgary, I think, despite Hickey being a top 6 defenseman and Dal Colle a middle six forward, they need a 3rd to make that go through. Greene probably retires this offseason.

I think the only deal that could make sense for the Flames with the Islanders is something around Eberle, but I'm not sure if that is something the Isles would entertain.

$2M for 1 year and getting Dal Colle (cheap salary) and a 3rd is well worth it to be honest.

Hickey's played 5 NHL games in the last 2 years, we already got fleeced from you for Hamonic because he wanted to go home. Cap space is an asset right now and Flames arent using theirs on expensive plugs we aren't even going to play. He would be sent to Stockton in Cali. Send him to Jersey for the year instead
