Description
For Kase, if he wants to stay on an easy-to-bury prove it contract after the Bruins don't qualify him, great, if not let him walk. Not sure what will happen with him but didn't put him in the starting lineup because I don't think they should rely on him coming back.

For the Driedger signing, not sure if it'll be him specifically but just someone around that $2-3m cap hit to split starts with Swayman.

I don't know, apparently the ask was a 1st+prospect at the deadline. Has the value decreased over the past bit? Probably, but that being said, I don't think that trading a player just for the sake of trading him makes a ton of sense, especially when they kind of need the Rakell's/Manson's/Hampus's of the world to ease their young guys in, instead of throwing them out to get thromped with zero support.

If they were overwhelmed with a trade offer, sure, but where it stands, you're just getting a late 2nd and another Mahura/Larsson/Curran, which isn't really a necessity.

With specific reference to Boston, I don't see a real good fit there, especially since your 2021 second went in the Hall deal. The best I can come up with is Rakell with 50% retention and our 2021 fifth or sixth for your 2021 first (doubt you'd want to go two whole rounds without a pick), or the 2022 first without our late pick.

Depending how Sweeney and Co view Rakell, I'd be okay with that. It's a late 1st rounder and Boston's window is going to slam shut any day now. Gotta make runs while the core is still here.
