I get TOR needs another goalie, Subban shouldn't be it though. Even with Campbell's success (smallish sample size) this season, rolling with him and Subban does not give me the warm and fuzzies.

Also, why is Strome being exposed for SEA to take?

It'd be interesting to see what Connor Murphy would go for at the deadline next year. I'd like to see him on the Sens beside Chabot instead of Zaitsev.

That being said, I'm curious to see what a Zaitsev-Murphy deal would look like. I think it'd be obvious that Ottawa will have to pay more due to the difference in contracts.

Wings pass, makes 0 sense for their rebuild, you can pay us to take Connolly, or keep him

I feel like the implication is they acquire malky as the 3 G but even then it's odd that cost a 5th rounder so honestly idk what to make of that ultimately

DJ Smith loves Zaitsev so I'm not sure he gets moved, nor can I imagine Chicago wanting to take on his contract, but the trade, as-is, is one Ottawa should jump on. CHI doesn't even need to retain!
OTT can start JBD in Belleville and have months to figure out how to move forward IF Murphy would be willing to extend. If he isn't, then Ottawa just sells him at the deadline and probably gets a better pick than they gave up to get him.
