Honestly I feel like at the cap hit for Boston OEL becomes a pretty cool asset to have even for 6 years and they might offer Studnicka or Frederic

Both who've started quite poorly in the NHL

To an extent where it's like uh oh 😬

What are you talking talking about? Studs just needs to put on some weight and put it in natural C position instead of being asked to play RW to accommodate Coyle. Freddy had a fine year as a rookie with the role he was asked to play. Problem was Cassidy (like he does with many young forwards) destroying his confidence because he loves to bench young guys for the small mistakes on any given shift. Meanwhile guys like Kuraly and Wagner are useless, but since they are vets Cassidy doesn't say anything to them.

Honestly my only complaint about Cassidy as a coach is that he's awful at handling young forwards.

I think they were enamored with Coyle/Smith in preseason and tried like hell to make it work. Then Ritchie started hot so they couldn’t take him out and they tried like hell to get JDB going by putting him on the right side and it created a domino effect of keeping Stud out.
I have a feeling that Stud is gonna be the guy that rounds out the bottom 6 this year. I honestly would love to see him add weight with a full offseason and play 3C and put Coyle on his right wing, with either JDB or a Coleman type in FA on his left.
