Brisebois has a lot of work

Remember a few months ago when the McDonagh trades were with retention for a 2nd and a 5th? Tampa winning the cup doesn’t change things much.

The man was probably 4th in Conn Smythe. He played absolutely amazing. I think he's worth (and this is with lower value because of age and Tampa's cap problems) a 2nd

Tampa Bay doesn't have leverage, we all know they need to clear cap and even if McDonagh played well, he'll likely regress/at least not play like a $6.75M player for long due to his age. Maybe a late 1st but likely a 2nd unless TBL is willing to retain (which I doubt since has has five more years).

Also, I would not send him to a divisional rival, especially a team you could meet in the playoffs.

His contract will be considered more than how he played in the post season. He was awesome, don’t get me wrong.

As a B’s fan I would love Mathieu Joseph. I know moving him doesn’t really help your cap, and most likely due to guys leaving he will get more of a chance to be an everyday guy. In terms of the McDonagh deal, I don’t think he gets that much, but I would love him in Boston as well.
