    Not necessarily. He brings experience from 2 cups, penalty killing prowess, and excellent defensive play/possession driving. A comparable I would use for role is Paul Byron, who is signed at a $3.4M cap hit.

    Hagelin has a history of success with the Rangers, and his play-driving ability would help immensely for a poor defensive team as such.
