Description
Draft day I think Detroit targets a LHD and a goalie. I've seen a few mock drafts where Hughes drops past Detroit so I'd like to see them grab him and then trade up in front of Esmonton to get Cossa (Edmonton is who I've seen take Cossa in most mock drafts I've seen) If Hushes is taken before 6 I'd like to see Wallstedt taken at 6 and then take the best available LHD at 23. After the first I'd like to see Detroit continue to just draft the best available player at each of their picks.

As for the other trades I think after Detroit resigns the guys that they want to resign I think they will make a couple trades taking on bad contracts. I've seen mock trades with Tampa giving up more than what I've put here to get rid of Johnson but given that he would be middle 6 player for Detroit I feel like anything would be good to get for taking him on.
With Washington ill be honest that I don't know much about Dillion I just chose him cause I know Washington has about as much cap space to resign Ovi and that's it so I just chose a player with a decent amount of salary and had Washington give up a small asset

As for the free agent signings, I don't expect them to go after any big fish in free agency just filling out the roster with some veterans.

Lastly I didn't include absolutely every RFA signing that I think they will make if the players would be back and forth from Grand River. I also don't think that either drafted players I had to create will be on the taxi squad or apart of the team this year aside from maybe a 9 game trial just had used the taxi squad as a place to put then, and the other players there are ones I think could become regulars at some point of the season

With the exception of Raymond making the roster (because he missed time last year to injury), I think this is reasonable and likely.

DIllon had a decent year, I think at worst they can get rid of him for a late pick instead of giving up a third

That's fair, just used him as an example the filling in the bottom 4D Detroit will look for guys who could mentor the young guys and get for cheap, either through free agency or taking on cap dumps

I thought of putting Berggren in that spot but even though he had a great year in the SHL I see Detroit taking more time with him

I do think Berggren makes the team before Raymond and with the season he had I do think he could make the team out of camp. In The SHL the younger players on their way up don't get the same ice time as the veterans who's last stop in the SHL they get less. So it really is a big deal when younger players do as well as Berggren.
