Why would the Wild do that trade exactly?

Would you trade John Marino for Michael Hutchinson, a 5th round pick, and a 7th round pick?

lmao thats not even remotely close to being similar. Desmith is a solid average backup goalie, and Hutchinson cant even crack an NHL lineup. Marino is a solid top 4 dman at 23 years old, and Holl is a 29 year old meh dman.

Actually, it is a solid comparable. Hutchinson had a better save percentage last season than DeSmith despite facing harder competition. Hutchinson also cost less than DeSmith for the same amount of term. Hutchinson "wasn't in the NHL" last season because Toronto was worried about goaltending issues that had plagued them all season so they added to their depth, and Hutchinson was the only waiver exempt goalie they had so they were able to move him up and down without worrying about losing him. So you should probably check your facts before you try to spit out **** like that there kid.

As for Marino and Holl, my comment was never about who's better (yes I think Marino is slightly better), it was more about their value to their teams being similar: Both are top 4 right handed defenceman that play shutdown roles. Holl actually might be even more valuable to Toronto than Marino is to Pittsburgh because Holl is Toronto's best right handed defenceman. Saying he's a "meh dman" kinda just proves how little you watch him, cause he's the guy that shut McDavid down this season (is that a meh job or has the league figured out that guy? I heard he's good). Marino had a great rookie season, then a meh sophomore season. He'll likely trend up from here but right now it looks like after he got his big pay day, his game went down the drain. Also, if you think Holl is a "meh dman" why would you wanna trade for him?

Sorry but that Toronto deal is awful and is shot down in a heartbeat.
