Description
Draft a centre with #2 pick. Hopefully they can become the #1 in short order. The rest of the team is designed to be growing into a great team in about 2-4 years, but be competitive in the meantime.
Really like this team. Lots of flexibility. Plenty of prospects and young players to use to improve upfront.
Also... Hamilton and Landeskog could be signed. Danault maybe, lots of UFA options out there. This could be a really great team, can't wait to find out tonight!

Additional Details:
He wanted to stay in Vancouver, now he is back out west. Resigning shouldn't be a problem next season. Good player. Cholowski other option.

  1. Benson, Tyler [RFA Rights]
Additional Details:
Why not? Not much else.. Kahun maybe but rather take a chance on Benson. At worst he makes the AHL affiliate much better.

    SEA
    1. Lizotte, Blake
    Additional Details:
Honorable mention; Grundstrom. Lizotte has a higher ceiling I believe. Both should be serviceable 3rd/4th liners.

    14.
    SEA
    1. Kähkönen, Kaapo
    Additional Details:
Soucy option depending one which goalies you like. Vanecek vs Kahkonen is difficult to determine. Rather have Soucy over Jenson though. Ultimately I decided to take both.

    SEA
    1. Fleury, Cale [RFA Rights]
    Additional Details:
One of the most difficult picks. Fleury, Drouin, Kulak, Price, Danault. Tough one and really no wrong answer unless Drouin doesn't play and Price is completely broken, which i doubt. I hope they pick Price but I'm going prospect.
    MTL
    16.
    SEA
    1. Trenin, Yakov
    Additional Details:
Jarnkrok option, or Sissons. Trenin is a flashy scorer and gives Seattle a fun to watch player who might really turn into something fantastic.
    NSH
    17.
    SEA
    1. Bastian, Nathan
    Additional Details:
Solid player looks like, Butcher also option even if contract a tad high. Might still live up to it though.
    NJD
    18.
    SEA
    1. Eberle, Jordan
    Additional Details:
Goal scorer vs all around player... I choose Eberle. Awesome guy, Team Canada hero. Scoring matters and he is great.

    19.
    SEA

    Additional Details:
Breakout year, might even be able to give more.

    SEA
    1. Daccord, Joey
    Additional Details:
Tierney is a flip option. Abramov or more likely Amadio as prospect options. I like the goalie with a great attitude and on a 2-way deal.
    OTT
    21.
    SEA
    1. van Riemsdyk, James
    Additional Details:
Hagg or Braun are options, or JVR. JVR on bad contract BUT is a great netfront guy with plenty left in the tank and the contract is only 2 more years. 43P in 56G on a bad team, I take him.
    PHI
    22.
    SEA
    1. Aston-Reese, Zach [RFA Rights]
    Additional Details:
Tanev other option. His contract keeps me away though. Aston-Reese is cheaper and puts up similar numbers in a similar role.
    PIT
    23.
    SEA
    1. Gambrell, Dylan
    Additional Details:
or Donato. Donato is going to be around $2M though if not more.
    SJS
    24.
    SEA
    1. Dunn, Vince [RFA Rights]
    Additional Details:
Great D, this hurts St. Louis the most I think. Tarasenko depending on the deal you can get for him but Dunn is great and needs a fresh start. Might be expensive.
    STL
    25.
    SEA
    1. Gourde, Yanni
    Additional Details:
Foote is other option. Don't want to help Tampa but this guy is great. Contract is maybe a tiny bit high but he is a phenomenal players with loads of energy. A guy that can set the tone for the team when it matters.
    TBL
    26.
    SEA
    1. McCann, Jared
    Additional Details:
Toss up. As a Leafs fan I'd rather lose Kerfoot. I think he will do better in Seattle than Toronto too. That said I take McCann.
    TOR
    27.
    SEA
    1. Lind, Kole [RFA Rights]
    Additional Details:
No clue. Bad team. MacEwen other option. I think Lind has higher trade value and upside. MacEwen may be ok but not an impact player so take the guy that might be.
    VAN
    28.
    SEA
    1. Vanecek, Vitek
    Additional Details:
Jenson is other option, veteran RD with plenty left. Seattle has tons of D though, most of which could work out better than Jenson. Vanecek could be special, so take him.
    WSH
    29.
    SEA
    1. DeMelo, Dylan
    Additional Details:
Appleton is a fast and great PK player, cheap and the Jets would hate to lose him. That said DeMelo was great and their team was hurting when he was out. Reasonable contract for a decent RD. Was really hoping they left Stanley unprotected but alas DeMelo is a great pick up.
    WPG
    30.
    SEA
    1. Domi, Max
    Additional Details:
I think Stenlund should be the pick but I'm a fan of Domi, especially when possibly paired with Eberle.
