Description
Avs need a top 6 forward and Boston needs cap space for Krejci. Avs send a former 1st round pick who is waived exempt and NHL ready with another pick gives Boston the space without adding any cap hit. Chicago needs cap space and a De Haan/Compher swap gives them an extra $1M in space. Compher is a bottom 6 forward who can play C and wing. Is also a PKer.

The offseason hasn’t been that bad. The 2 most important pieces of business got done in makar and landeskog, avs still have their stars

Getting screwed around by Seattle sucked, the Graves trade, them taking donskoi over compher but whatever you move on

End of the day avs upgraded in net to kuemper, the price of a 1st and Timmins sucked but the net is better today.

If you believe in Newhook and byram ability they are fine. Need to still shore up the edges but it’s not that bad, but going into this offseason we knew it would be tough with the cap and the big contracts

I for one am a huge believer in Newhook and Byram, and don’t think a middle 6 winger is as important as a dman, because if they have one injury you are looking at a 3rd pairing of MacDonald and MacDermaind. For the middle 6 love him or hate Compher is viable option especially on the wing. Kaut’s time is now he has to force his way on to this team or it’s time to move on.
