Wouldn't trade Bernard-Docker in a trade for Monahan. He's their top RHD prospect, and he's the only RHD prospect that comfortably projects as a defender capable of playing on the top two pairs.

But even less because I wouldn't make that Murray trade. Why sacrifice a 2nd, a 3rd and a goalie with a great resume if you still have 23 M$ in cap space? NHL teams do that kind of move when they NEED to clear cap space... Sens don't need to do that at all, they actually need to reach the cap floor

I find the deal for Monahan is decent although I'd hope the Sens would do their due dilligence on him in regards to injuries and potential further decline. His play dropped significantly the last 2 years.

Finally, something I don't understand is why everybody make a lot of moves for forwards when the real need for upgrade is on defense?
