Description

Wishful trades, but not impossible. Detroit gets hometown boys DeBrincat and Trouba to fulfill future and current needs at center/wing and defense. When Howard is healthy, he can fetch a decent return, but we will probably need to retain some salary.
Addendum: as much as I HATE Ericsson, there's no GM in the league stupid enough to take his horrible contract.

It's my understanding that getting debrincant from Chicago will be a lot harder than a rental. Especially adding a second.
Unfortunately same goes for Trouba. Smith is a rental. Think they would just want a left handed version of Trouba over smith and a 1st. Plus we could still suck next year. So could haunt us too. Would love both of them in the system. But it's gonna take more

I think all those trades are a bit on the wishful side but boy oh boy would they be nice. The only difference I would make is not giving up our 2018 first rounder. It could be a pretty high pick if things keep going the way they have been. I'd keep the pick and deal with not getting Trouba.
