Description

Mittelstadt is a player much in the Kotkaniemi ilk. He hasn't performed the best during the season but looked good when given more responsibility under the coaching change towards the end of last season for Buffalo. 4 million is a clear overpay for him but one that keeps the offer sheet cost down.

The difference is
1. Buffalo has space to match unlike Montreal.
2. Montreal gets a 1st and a 3rd while Buffalo gets a 2nd.

i feel like buffalo would match. are they even at the cap floor? obviously mittelstadt’s not really worth that, but they have the money and want to keep their young guys. a second isn’t enough compensation to consider it
