Spurgeon is on team B if not A. You're not convincing me there are 22 defensemen in the NHL that are better than him.

I’d say he’s better than Doughty but hockey Canada loves him so that’s why I had him as the B Team spare. There’s no shot he’s better than Makar, Pietrangelo, Hamilton, or Ekblad for the A Team. Do you think he’s better than Weegar, Ellis, or Pulock? Or even Letang right now (no projections, youth doesn’t matter as much because the tournament is a one time thing in a few months)? I think 2nd pair C Team is about right. He’d be top pair if you put Letang as the B Team spare and moved Doughty to this team. I wouldn’t have Spurgeon any higher than B Team spare though, I could see him being better than Letang, but not Weegar, Ellis, or Pulock.
