Koivula will be picked up on waivers/traded before the season IMO. I think Reece Newkirk has a great shot at playing on the 4th line in a year or 2. He’s pretty much cizikas with a bit more skill

Golyshev posted a pic on his IG story with a ton of luggage. He looks like he plans on staying a while lol - no idea what there plan is with him.

I mean theyre dead set on playing parise and golyshev isnt waiver eligible so i dont see any way he is on the roster. As for otto i hope not. I think hes the future of the 4th line. A bigger guy who can play all 3 spots, he kills penalties and has decent hands. I feel like hes the perfect guy to take over but he has to clear waivers and i dont see that happening. I could see them carry him as the 14th forward if they trade bellows tho. I really hope we dont lose him.

There will be injuries - maybe he’s guaranteed the 13 or 14 F role or he plays in BPT and he’s told he’s in their plans - who knows. Apparently his salary is close to 1 mill so I would think he’s in their plans. Parise and the 4th line isn’t staying healthy for the entire year.

For whatever reason they only see Otto as a center even though he was drafted as a lw.

Kind of sucks bc i love otto. Like why wait to sign him in FA when hes 30 and costs more than keep him when hes in his early-mid 20s is getting paid less and is getting better not worse. Just doesnt make any sense. Same with the parise thing. He shouldnt be an everyday player. There should at least be someone else who will play against teams like boston and tampa, physical but good. (Someone like mikheyev would be nice to play there everyday).

Tbf Parise is still really good (as a middle 6 guy) - I was only against trading for him with that insane contract. Parise is a lot better than Mikheyev (who might be the worst finisher in the NHL).

If it were up to me I’d scratch Martin or Clutterbuck and play Otto right now, but unfortunately Trotz won’t do that.
