Please no more Colin White trades.
He won't be traded, unless someone gives up appealing asset(s) for him but I don't see why would any team do that considering his AAV
There's abolutely no reason/point to trade Colin White. You won't get positive value for him, he's Chabot's best friend, he's overpaid by about 1.25 per season (based on polls) which is not crippling at all and he could still continue to improve as he's just 24 y/o.
He has produced 36 pts per 82 games in the NHL with mostly 3rd line minutes. The only season he had a better opportunity (better linemates, more TOI), he produced at a 47 pts pace. He has 4 years left at 4.75, which is too much for him but if it was 3.5 no one would complain. In the meantime, he provides forward depth and good 2-way play (check defensive/advanced stats). Worse case scenario (really doubt it comes to that), Sens could buy him out for real cheap

BUYOUT COST : $875,000 x 6 seasons
CAP HIT : $875,000 x 6 seasons
All that being said, Ottawa doesn't even need to clear cap space/salary. Even if they wanted, there's still the CAP FLOOR.

Ottawa isn’t retaining
Colin White 4 years x 3.0 ($12,000,000 total) is a pretty good contract. He's a pretty decent 3rd line forward/center and could be a bit more (tweener) when/if he peaks. He's pretty decent defensively with good advanced stats, and he scores 30-35 pts per 82 games
No way Ottawa takes the $11,450,000 owed to Zucker for just 2 seasons.

i mean they do have like 20 million in cap space. And I got the Zucker for White swap from somewhere else
Cap space doesn't matter for Ottawa until Melnyk decides it does.
