and this is why Hamilton wasn't re-signed they needed to keep Barkov and new they couldn't pay both with bobby still here.
and lets be honest you cant buy out Bobby for min 2-3 more years. the best scenario he plays well enough this year for a team to pick in up 40-50% retained.

option B I would trade Hornqvist next offseason and add some cheaper roster pieces to fill out your bottom 6

That's not getting you Chychrun, especially not for 2mil retained. And Fleury takes a 1x1 contract to go to the Panthers?... He'll get significantly better offers from significantly more proven teams. That is, if he doesn't retire.
