How come? Don't think he has even 1% in signing bonuses

The AAV is over 8 M$ simply because Melnyk don't do these

Teams will gladly give up signing bonuses if it helps to keep the AAV lower (like Barkov with 90% in SB)

i believe he also has the 2nd most hits since coming into the league? Sometimes it makes more sense to look past just points. Can they get a comparable player to sign there? their other super stars are more likely to stay there also esp the ones he rooms with... Not really taking shots but a little more letting the players win might have helped the Sabres
