I like the Marner trade. It’s a lot, but it avoids the untouchables, and gives us a Ned replacement. Marner is a great player, and that seems like a good value for him. Not sure if Yzerman would be willing to pull the trigger on it though, it demolishes our depth.

Some how I don't see Toronto fans being being excited about this. But the analogies in the explanation pretty much capture the way Leaf's fans feel about their team so far. Even if it is still very early in a very long season.

They are never excited about anything unless its Engvall and Kerfoot for a teams top players.
