Description
How on earth would they manage to trade for and resign Hertl? Unless Fox took a huge discount, they moved Chytil in the deal, didn’t sign Blais and gave Kakko a much cheaper bridge it seems really tough considering Hertl will probably get an extension in the $6.5-7.5 mil range.

Kakko doesn’t have arbitration rights. Why pay him that much if not locking him in long term.?? The QO calculator says his qualifying offer is only 875K.

Pay him 875K next season and pay him long term the next season, when he has arbitration rights.

No need to pay a 20 year old, with no arbitration rights, long term like that just yet, in my opinion.

Either way it doesn't fit, try making 24, 25, 26 seasons with due raises, still F depth needs and yes ntcs.

Kakko is only getting a 3 year bridge. Not a long term deal at all. To suggest Fox doesn’t get at least $9-9.5 mil long term is ridiculous. Might as well pay him now than in 2 years when he’s worth potentially $11-13 mil.
