Description
I don’t know where the word that Tarasenko still wants to be traded is coming from, but if it comes down to it and he still wants to be moved, I’d love to make a deal with NJD.

Can't see Jersey trading a cheap young NHLer with years of controllability for Tarasenko. Blues best bet for a trade is Taresenko traded to a true contender who somehow have cap space due to an injury to a top line forward.

NDJ declines there an up-and-coming team and even if Tarasenko is amazing Sharangovich is a big part of their team

I would further specify that it should be a contender in the Eastern Conference. Everyone knows with Tarasenko's shoulder/contract/trade request that it would be a tough trade to win for the Blues, so if Armstrong finally grants VT his wish to be moved, I would hope that it doesn't help someone that the Blues would potentially face in the playoffs. That being said, it's hard to believe that his trade request is that serious or that the situation is dire... he looks comfortable and happy in interviews and on the ice, he's playing good hockey and the team is winning.

It has always been an impossible situation. If VT plays well, the Blues shouldn't trade him. And if he plays poorly, no team should trade for him. I've got the feeling that he stays in STL for the whole season.

Agreed. The way he's playing right now they shouldn't nor will trade him. It would take a massive collapse for the Blues on combination with Tarasenko playing at a high pace for a trade to be possible.
