Out of curiosity does this deal work? Rasks contract ends after this year freeing up cap space for the flames and Greenway is a young piece with RFA rights. It really depends on how far Monahans stock has fallen. I just don't think he is a fit under Sutter, but in Evasons system he could be better.

It's Minni's cap issue next season when Parise and Suter cost over 12m, which should deter them from Monahan

No doubt his cap hit could be problematic but with Rask off the roster and Goligoski not getting 5 million a year again and Fiala likely traded in the off season the Wild would have the cap space to make this work.

Monahan would need to come with a lot of retention to make him interesting to the Wild. The cap won't work well otherwise.
