Description
With the Canucks struggling so far this season, Armchair GM takes over in the 2022 offseason and tries to turn the team around get Vancouver back into the playoffs by trading away some bad contracts and acquiring players who I believe would certainly help us return to the playoffs by 2023.

Would you be interested in Zaitsev? I could see a one for one Myers for Zaitsev.

I like the idea of Demelo, but I don't think Winnipeg would move him given that they're also trying to win. I'd also be weary of giving Copp that contract. If you can get him for around $1M less, I think it's a fine deal. I'd just be hesitant to dedicate all that cap space to your 3C. I know he's had an awesome start to the year, but I'd wait to see if it's sustainable

All these trades get declined. You’re not giving up nearly enough for demelo, Arizona has no reason to make that trade, and the only reason a team would take Hamonic or Poolman is if you were taking cap back the other way

We probably have to pay more to get rid of Myers and Hamonic. Tbh, I like Poolman and think he would be good in a reduced role.

I'm also not really a fan of going after Manson, consensus seems to be his play is declining so you're giving assets to dump Myers then signing another Myers.

Not sure you're getting Demelo for cheap then also signing Copp. I feel like if WPG is moving Demelo for cheap it's to sign Copp.

I don't think a 2nd is enough to dump Myers.

After one more year his salary goes down to $1M, and at that point he might even become a tradeable asset.
