This could help us ship out two bad contracts. What RW could we get with shipping this out? We would have about 8 million in cap space.

You could probably get a good RW for that. But then we need a 2C. And a top pair LHD. And a legit starting goalie. And then next year Bergy might be gone and we'll need a 1C. There's just way too many holes on this team to bother with throwing away draft picks to try and patch up one of them. I say just trade Debrusk for another underperforming young guy, let the season play out, and make the tough decision to flip the rebuild switch in the offseason.

I don’t think we have as many holes as you think. Coyle with Hall is not enough and as much as I like Smith he is not a top 6. Brining in Forsberg would really help out this team. The goaltending and D will get better. They are still building chemistry.

Agreed. Can't throw away draft picks. Like another ACGM'er said "Can't keep putting band aids where you need stitches". 2022 1st is hopefully a top C prospect.

The goaltending will get better when Swayman gets more experience which is a couple years down the road. I like him but experience matters. The D is not going to get better. LD is mediocre and the contracts have tied the Bruins hands. A 2C would help this team out a lot more than Forsberg. Bite the bullet, keep the 2022 1st and 2nd in a deep draft.
