I'd be shocked if Kulikov even considers Buffalo again. Torturous year for him. Montreal just spent 2 seconds on Shaw and gave him a huge deal, they aren't moving him for just Foligno. Moving both Larsson and Girgensons is a mistake especially for just picks. One of them? Maybe.

F50Marco said that Montreal would take a Foligno for Shaw deal, and I think Kulikov would be willing to come back to Buffalo because I don't think anyone will be willing to pay Kulikov that much for a year. Do you think that this team, as long as they stay relatively healthy, can make the playoffs?

Dang might need to elaborate first........ Thought Foligno was a lot younger then Shaw. Turns out they're the same age. Foligno got 2.25 in his last contract so getting a raise isn't out of the question. Now that I actually think about this one for a second and look it over, I think Bergevin would actually want to keep Shaw. Now with that said, If I were GM I'd still probably make that trade since MTL is in need of size desperately and MTL is loaded on the right side as is with Gallagher and Radulov so Shaw unless playing his off wing or center would be forced to play 3rd line minutes which we're paying him to be better than.

I would do this trade, knowing Bergie' style, he wouldn't.

F50Marco, I'd even be willing to throw in a 3rd round pick or prospect for Shaw, if that would help.

The forward group is very young with Nylander, Baptiste, Smith, Rodrigues, and Carrier. I'd probably send 1 or two of them down and sign a veteran UFA for a year or two and hold onto Larsson to keep us more competitive. If Kuli can bounce back the defense should hold up and this team could sneak 3rd in conference or a wild card.

For F50Marco, is Shaw not a strong center?
