Trades
1.
TOR
  1. Roy, Jérémy
Additional Details:
Leafs receive an (A+) Dman.
SJS
  1. Nielsen, Andrew
  2. van Riemsdyk, James
Additional Details:
San Jose is a win-now team. And in two years they will be as well.

They get JVR who can fit in perfectly with their style. Him and Pav tipping pucks. Plus I'm pretty sure they played on the same line in the 2014 Sochi Olympics. They can afford this because Jumbo, Marleau, Ward, etc.. will be gone.

They also receive an (A-) Dman that is a big-bodied player that can move with and without the puck.
2.
TOR
  1. 2019 2nd round pick (FLA)
  2. 2019 5th round pick (FLA)
Additional Details:

Florida's 2019 5th round pick becomes a 2019 3rd round pick if Komarov plays in 65+ games.
3.
TOR
  1. Ellis, Ryan
Additional Details:
**This trade happens this year before the exp.draft** (2016-17)

Leipsic and Marchenko don't even come close to getting you Ellis, This is terrible for Nashville.

Couple things;

1) Leipsic is a very good skilled player
2) They do this so they don't lose Ellis for nothing. They get back quality players. If it was a different time of year and W/O the expansion draft, then yes I agree that he is worth more but that's not the case here.

Are you signing UFAs Komarov and JVR in the summer of 2018 and then trading them shortly after? You would think if the Leafs two trading partners had wanted those guys, they would have signed them as UFAs, and possibly the UFAs would have NTCs.
