I'm not arguing the market value you're paying for Cernak, however I am saying that he's more valuable than that to TB. They're not giving up their best player at their weakest position on a club friendly contact. They have 2 other NHL ready RD the best they have isn't being trade for a winger they no offense don't need nor have the room for on the roster.

Awfully mean spirited thing to say, but it was absolutely my first thought as well

TBH, I'm hoping Seattle (I'm not a Seattle fan, but still) wins the lotto. Beniers/Wright down the middle would be fun for them (Or Savoie instead of Wright if they end up at 2OA).
