I am honestly surprised because from his time in Winnipeg he was just pretty meh, but in NJD/EDM last year and now in MIN he's actually been a real solid defenceman

Oh yah for sure. I wish the oilers would’ve kept him instead of trading for Keith. He’s better, and cheaper. For a second there when I saw Hartman so high, I was confused until I saw his numbers… he’s going to get a lot of money when his contract is up. 1.7M is a steal for him… especially with the 3 years! Has Fiala actually been that bad this year though? I think he should be higher up in the list.

This doesn't even make sense. Brodin is the best defenseman on the team yet somehow he's behind four other defensemen and Victor Rask? Placing Fiala that low is borderline criminal.

Fiala has been our 2nd best winger all year. Even when not producing he's been extremely solid at both ends of the rink in his two-way game this year. The work effort has been there all year. He just wasn't getting rewarded for his efforts. He couldn't buy a goal there for awhile . It didn't help that there wasn't any real help on his line either. Now that he's got Boldy there, it's entirely different. That line is an actual threat now, and he doesn't have to go it alone anymore.
