Description
Trades:
Meant as approximations or ideas that "might" work. If it doesn't work for a reason other than "X Player sucks/is a cap dump", let me know. Value is debatable, just trying to get in the ballpark.
Dumba is the toughest to gauge because you can try to shoot for fair value, but another GM might jump in and blow that out of the water for a RD. Consider this a starting point. Willing to match offers if possible because we are desperate for a big minute RHD if Petry is moved.

Not Mentioned: Players on expiring contracts of little consequence. Some released at end of season, some re-signed for AHL/Depth.

Line 1: Offensive
Line 2: All Situations
Line 3: Transition Group
Line 4: Defensive

D1: All Situations
D2: Bash Brothers (Defensive/Transition)
D3: Offensive/Sheltered (Pair off with Bash Brothers and rotate with Clague as necessary)

Hoffman: Moved next year (TDL or Off Season)
Dumba: Extended ($8M x 8 -ish)
Lehkonen: Moved next year at TDL (Barring a good prospect return this season)
Byron: Sold as rental next year, but with an offer to re-sign for cheap and return to Montreal as UFA

all those assets for one season of Dumba isn't worth giving up for Habs, they can just wait and sign him as UFA

no point in trading Drouin for that ...

The plan is to re-sign Dumba (it's in the description). The RD market is tough and while there are other options, they are less than ideal for our current situation. We need someone long term to give us time to build up some prospect depth at the position, and young enough that they will still be there as we transition those prospects.

Drouin's value is low because while he's performing okay given the situation, he has been missing a lot of time. This is approximately two 3rd's for a player that really needs a different atmosphere.

That's the first Drouin to NSH proposal I've seen where the cost is low enough for it to make it worth the gamble for the Preds. NSH accepts.

Makes enough sense to me, if it makes enough sense for Nashville. I also think it makes sense for Drouin however, which is perhaps the most important part.
