This I will get ripped apart for. I have seen countless trades on here where people are giving away Kakko and calling him a bust. SJ needs a starting goalie so AG being in helps. They’re young and maybe Kakko needs a change of scenery and can be what we all thought he will be. Nemeth is bc NYR need cap space. NYR traded the 1 for Scheifele and can’t really go back to trading a million firsts away.

I think you've got the right idea on track with Kakko, and I appreciate the thought process here I just don't think the Sharks would deal Timo right now for anything less than a beyond massive overpay. I'm talking Laf, a 1st, AG+ which would make no sense for the Rangers.

Youre not retaining Strome if you pick up Scheifele and Meier. Also just because those 3 guys were first round picks, doesnt entitle us to use that as a measuring stick in gauging trade value.

A scheifele deal would have to include Schneider. I know NYR fans don’t want to lose him, but that’d be the starting point for Scheifele.
