Perhaps. Zad and Gudbransons deals will be up anyway so the cap space will be there. they arent the most talented defenceman but as a guy who watched the habs thrive in the playoffs with a massive top four (weber, chiarot, edmundson) mean and heavy defenceman are needed in the playoffs
