Description
Notice that this ACGM doesn't have any actual trades: that's because I would prefer to hear other people's offers to get some perspective on what the market could be like for some of these guys. Obviously not all of them will be moved, but which ones might and which might not depends somewhat on the market for them (hence the format). I've used Anaheim as a placeholder team to represent a non-specific buyer. I also think that no matter what direction the team chooses to take this deadline/offseason, we need to do some serious house cleaning behind the bench, not just with our head coach but assistants as well, and that we probably should consider changes in the front office as well.
I've also seen a lot of Jets fans wanting to move Vesa/Stanley, and especially in Vesa's case, I'd very much rather not sell low on him. Even if he only becomes a bottom 6 piece, I'd still bet on his upside over a mid round pick.
Trades
1.
WPG
Would hope for a 1st (maybe something similar to the Barclay Goodrow trade structure) but would settle for a 2nd+ over letting him walk
    2.
    WPG
Hopefully a 2nd ish, or young player. One of the only vets I'd consider keeping around for leadership if the offers aren't right
      3.
      WPG
Could wait until the offseason, but I think it might be time for him to move on. Unfortunately his defensive game has evaporated over the past few years and he's part of the leadership that is part of the problem here. If Schneider isn't available something around a 1st+Chytil+Lundqvist seems pretty good to me as a framework, or maybe another team steps in that hasn't been rumored and outbids
        4.
        WPG
Probably one of the most valuable and moveable vets on our D core. If we can recoup a 2nd+ I'm fine with that
          5.
          WPG
Late round pick for a depth guy. Nothing too fancy, I'd be happy just to be rid of him
            6.
            WPG
Here's where we get to the real controversial part. These next 2 batches of players are vets that I'd be happy to move for the right return if their value is there. This group is players that are useful in a certain role, but overpaid for what they bring, and/ or over utilized. Comment below if/what you'd offer for them
              7.
              WPG
Now we get REALLY spicy. These guys are great, core pieces, but in the long run, I would consider moving them for the right deal. Pionk has had a down year, and as good as Hellebuyck is, I'm not quite convinced that he's worth paying for in two years, especially if we're in the midst of a full blown rebuild. This really is a question of how much we want to year down; if we go for more of a retool than a full rebuild (or double down on trying to win now), then obviously we'd need to keep Hellebuyck. However, if we end up going for more of a scorched earth strategy, it's questionable whether he fits our window, and with how volatile goalies' production can be, a 9 or 10 million dollar commitment could really hamstring us long term (e.g. Carey Price). I wouldn't rush too much to move him, but I also think the type of package we could get could really help kickstart a rebuild if we went down that road. And same as above, I'd love to hear your offers for these guys.

The jets are in interesting one. In reality they’re probably a few good moves away from being a contender again. But their ability to draw big names in FA or NTC will be their downfall compared to some more glorified and sunny destinations.

That said. Players like Scheif could get them a ransom. So if they are interested in biting the bullet. They could do one heck of a rebuild.

They’re absolutely at a crossroads. I think if they’re going all in on a rebuild, everyone has to go. They’ve got good young pieces and could build around a core of Perfetti Dubois Connor Ehlers Heinola. I’d keep Pionk though despite his defensive issues

Even with a retool or rebuild, or whatever you want to call it. Lowry, wheeler, Schmidt, morrissey probably need to retain on and questionable returns, and there money isn’t going to be spent on anything but bargain free agents or overpaying. So probably going to shine them up or ride out there term. Helly and pionk young enough to keep in a rebuild or retool, jets traditionally draft well enough for a blockbuster or two, but never wanna gamble to much on future, if you have it in the present. You also got to factor in fanbase and Dubois/Connor/ehlers attitude towards a rebuild or retool. All of sudden your ottawa a few years ago. Kind of a slippery slope adventure

If you put Hellebuyck on the market, there would certainly be serious interest. I can see Buffalo, Edmonton and Washington being suitors, obviously, and teams like Toronto (if they think that they can't re-sign Campbell), Montreal (if Price retires), Colorado (if they think that they can't re-sign Kuemper), Chicago, Ottawa and Philly might also be in the mix. It probably doesn't make sense to make him available at the trade deadline, and it's a shame for you that the draft precedes the free-agency period (because I think where Campbell and others go may shape the market).

As a Jets fan I have no interest in seeing Scheifele or Helly signed to some bloated anchor contracts at 31 years old.

Having said that I'm fine to keep them to the end of their deals (or till their UFA season and traded as rentals if that season goes down the toilet too) IF Chevy gets off his rear and gets to work building a lineup that could actually do something in the playoffs, as it is now this lineup has too many flaws to be anything more then a wildcard/bubble team at best.

This lineup has many issues that need to be corrected, I'm not sure if Chevy is up to it or even sees what they are.
