Description
This feels a bit lopsided but the Avs would be renting out Seattle's cap space next year with Compher and they're getting another year of Soucy who is good defensively. If and when Byram feels better and can play, Murray comes out of the lineup.

While Helm is still in the lineup, the third line is a lot better and could play more minutes and Jarnkrok could go between the 3rd and 4th line. To me, this helps the PK, at the dot and defensively without giving up too much.

this feels like a big over pay by the avs. the combo of Blackwell Järnkrok really arent any better than Compher and Jost, so they are paying a 2nd 3rd and Kaut for Soucy just so they lose comphers cap hit next season? That feels more like you really dont like compher and jost and will pay to get rid of them even if it makes the team worse

Like I said, it looks like an overpay but the underlying numbers on all of those players are quite different - Jarnkrok is definitely better than JTC; it is arguable that Blackwell and Jost are basically the same player but Blackwell has a bit more offense and is better defensively. I'd actually rather have Geekie but I imagine Seattle wants to keep him. Losing JTC's contract next year helps and having Soucy for another year is good.

Jarnkrok just feels like the middle ground between of Jost and compher...its min maxing the bottom 6 and i dont think Jankrok or Blackwell are 3rd liners
Comhers contract next season isnt that much of a hurdle IMO
