Anaheim is not trading Comtois — would be a bad business decision

I don’t know how it all works behind the scenes but I think getting MAF is more about convincing him to want to play in Toronto. Yes they will have to then work out a deal with Chicago but if he says trade me to Toronto I don’t think they have to give up a first and top prospect.

I'm not suggesting Pierre Lebrun is always right, but it's just one man's opinion who knows a little more about this than I do. It all depends on how people feel about Mrazek and what level prospect it would require to take on his contact. The 1st is for MAF and retention. The prospect is for what cap dump needs to be sent. My suggesting for TOR fans is that they buy him out in the off season. Send other pieces that aren't quite as negative. Dermott and Mikheye get you pretty darn close.

Ya I can’t see them paying a top prospect to dump mrazek. They can send him down and save a million. So like you said other players could be traded to then fit in MAF at 3.5.

It still wouldn’t shock me if there are teams that would take on mrazek, maybe he would even get claimed, only so many goalies to go around, he has a track record, a few bad starts in Toronto probably won’t stop every team from taking a chance.

The issue I have is that his track record is actually very bad and he was on a really good team too. That's what tough to read on here with TOR fans. They seem to think that it's just a few games when it's really the last 5 years.

The day he signed below I was pretty vocal about how bad he was.
