Caps probably pass. They are high on Jensen and Sammy still. Girgensons and Laaksonen don't really interest them so only Luukkonen+2nd look good to them. Don't know if that's enough to move Sammy+Jensen+Eller for.

What’s your thinking on the Caps trade?
Specifically, the part with the goalies
UPL has looked good enough to be given a further look next season (.917save% on a crappy team)
And Samsonov has not looked good at at this year or last, with a save% hovering right at the .900 mark- and on a good team

That swap doesn’t make a ton of sense to me

That is a bad trade for Buffalo. Washington won't trade Jensen. Buffalo won't trade Girgensons. We would take Eller, but it would be a cap-dump mostly so wouldn't cost more than a 3rd imo
