Description
Helps ARZ grow their team/fan base - throw them a bone with the local hero

Helps TOR with young depth with much more affordable term, especially with Keller and Chychrun who can become Leaf mainstays for many years to come.

Tavares will wake up playing with Marner again - his best yr was when paired with Marner - re-unite the two with Bunting on the other side. Give better matchups for Keller and Nylander on the 2nd line.

Leafs still have some cap space to maybe get a physical RD (or 2)

I do NOT see Mrazek waiving his NTC to go to ARZ but if he does, just add him to the Leafs' side of the deal - nothing extra needs to come TOR's way Happy just getting rid of him.

how are Keller and Schmaltz becoming a point per game players this year ?

Seems like fake news to me.

Not. Even. Close.

Maybe if you add 2 first round picks.

Matthews for 1st(ARI) + 1st(CAR) + 1st(COL) + Keller would do.

Let's face it, Arizona doesn't have a fan base. It has snow birds that attend the games when their "home" team (Flames, Leafs) are in town.
Leafs don't do that deal this season but would likely go for in the summer, though the team doesn't look cap compliant this season or next.

Nope there’s actually a pretty solid fan base, they just are on the exact opposite side of the valley. This trade makes no sense for Arizona
