Description
Just having fun. The chicago trade was to get some space to sign the ufa's. Don't know if that is enough for Rust and Rakell to sign. But trying for something different

Gee thats a big deal. I mean I'm not huge on Nylander (been scarred by Alex) and I am huge on Hagel. Nylander is producing more on a stronger team and is more skilled offensively I would suggest. Hagel does it all, and I'm not saying Nylander does but Hagel is better at the other end IMO and his work ethic is very good in comparison.

Murphy holds more value than Kerfoot IMO. There are less Murphy's around compared to the Kerfoot's of the world.

I may get ridiculed but I don't think this benefits in doing this for CHI if the plans are to keep them. I doubt Nylander would extend in 2 years when he is a UFA and Hagel is cost controlled for the same period and then is a RFA with no arbitration.

I would be open to trading Murphy for the right price.

Nylander has more value than both the players coming from Chicago. And Kerfoot has a lot of value as well. A 60 point player isn't cheap to acquire and that is Kerfoot. This site is so bias it's ridiculous

Hagel is great, don’t get me wrong. I’ve been a big fan of his game, and I think he would be a great fit in Toronto. However, in no way is he worth more than Nylander. A top line winger isnt on the move for a clear downgrade. Also, may I add that Kerfoot has been a lot of what you described Hagel as there, obviously he isn’t good, but Kerfoot is defensively reliable, can play up and down the lineup (and Center or winger), while also producing at a near 60 point pace this year. I don’t think the Leafs move him for yet another middle of the lineup defenceman when they already have a plethora at the moment
