Petry isn't a negative asset. That's insane. Also, you're way overvaluing Allen. Also, G gets a way better offer.

I dont know, I think the habs have to give up assets to get rid of the cap hit. Also, on the Allen side, he has proved to be a very good goaltender in the NHL and there would be a few teams competing to aquire him. I listed this as the return because I don’t think he gets traded for less. If that offer or better is not on the table, we are very happy to keep him

Holloway is a major asset. Allen is not the solution in EDM for that value.

Edmonton does not give up Holloway to swap a year of back up Mike Smith for back up Allen.

And Arizona is definately not trading the Habs a pick to relieve Montreal of the Weber contract. That idea is laughable.

He is, but couple Allen with another goaltender and you now have a solid back end. Mike Smith, realistically, is done. Allen is 9 years younger than smith, providing a solid backbone to the team.
