The last time a senior that won the hobey baker was anything noteworthy at the NHL level was 1998. These kids are overhyped every year. See Vesey, Vecchione, et al.

I think of the final 3 it'll be a close split. I know he's from Minnesota and went to school there, but he'd get a way bigger opportunity to advance his career in Philly or Detroit

I don't think he'll be a star, but in more recent years it seems like guys are having more overall success straight from college, and if he could be a reliable 3C that would be a great add
