Description
I do not want to see is the kid line. They've tried it and it doesn't work. Chytil is not a center. I know some believe face-offs are overrated, but every shift of the kid line starts with chytil losing the face-off and then lafreniere and kakko trying to get the puck back in the defensive zone. Kakko has a good shot and I think would do well getting serious minutes with panarin and strome. Put copp between lafreniere and chytil on RW and get some offense from the 3rd bc that line does nothing when its the 3 kids. Plus now that the rangers are clinched, I think now is a great time to get kakko some more reps to see what he can do (so put him on PP1 instead of Strome (who is not a shooter).

As for the 4th line, I dont really care as long as Gauthier and McKegg are in the press box.

I'd also take the big guns (kreider, fox, zibanejad) off PK1 (at the very least) just to give them a break before playoffs.

There’s a reason why that line doesn’t work and it’s not because of Chytil. It’s simple, Lafreniere doesn’t belong in the NHL. I just feel like he’s struggling to get the basics down. He always takes a touch too late which kills his teams’ chance of exiting the zone and getting set up offensively. When they do start a cycle, he is tentative about picking a path to go to support his teammates. When he puts himself in an open spot to receive a pass, he’s not in the right posture to handle it. Just feels like whatever line he’s on, they can’t make a successful gain control of the offensive zone or get set up, it always ends up back in their end.
