Description
Obviously the sabres aren't trading for Barzal and this is probably not enough but I was bored - would this team make the playoffs?

Would have to come with an extension

Don't sign manson, especially not for that.

Dahlin plays RHD now with Samuelsson. Breaking that pairing up is grounds for firing

c'mon now, you know that one of those 2022 1sts would have to be Buffalo's for this to have a shot of working.

i also think it would have to be Cozens over Mittelstadt - Casey looks like he's a 3C at best and Cozens at least looks like he can replicate some of the lost production from moving Barzal.

And after that, I *still* don't know if it'd be enough to get Barzal to move up north.

He's got 54pts, he's basically got Sam Reinhart numbers. Why would it have to be Buffalo's 1st.

because he's a guy they don't want to trade, reinhart wanted out. everyone knows he'd be better if he wasn't playing under trotz. there needs to be at least one A+ asset in there, whether it be the top ten pick or a better prospect. just doesn't make sense to do it without one of those things coming back.

Reinhart got traded after 295 points in 454 career games in Buffalo.

Barzal has 306 points in 359 career games on the Island (plus another 38 in 49 playoff games).

Barzal is definitely better than Reinhart, so Buffalo gives up the better pick.
