Description
Since this my first time, I played around the possibility of what our team would look like if we successfully traded our 3 players in OEL, Myers, and Miller. I know these are unpopular decisions, but I look at this team right now and it has so many flaws right now. It needs cap space (as our blue line is expensive) and more picks/prospects. Also, our prospect pool is substandard. So I only focused on those two areas.

Reasonings behind my main decisions:

OEL to Boston:
Before coming to the Canucks, he also preferred Boston as a second choice. Since Jake Debrusk wants a team change, he comes to the Canucks with a pick and OEL goes to Boston (we could retain half his salary depending on circumstances.)

Myers to the Flyers or any other team that has more cap space:
Again, his contract is too expensive and we get 2 picks for him. The price may be high, but we remove cap space and get picks. This is dependent on how Fletcher would see Myers in terms of his value.

JT Miller for Shea, Whitecloud, Brisson, 2 1st round picks:
Since we traded OEL, we are missing our blue line pieces. Vegas likes to gamble big with bringing in stars, so we trade Miller and we get Theodore and Whitecloud alongside a prospect and 2 1st rounders (may seem too much but the player is high quality). Theodore and Whitecloud combined are cheaper than OEL and Myers and are younger, as Theodore is 27 and Whitecloud is 25. They also have more points as well. Also, we get a decent prospect and 2 high picks.

We sign Boeser to a reasonable deal and get picks from the players we traded based on their values.

In the end, we would have a decent amount of cap space to use as a weapon for the 2023 off season (to use to help cap strapped teams while getting additional picks in return). That way, we would have more picks than before.

Again, the reason why I focus on picks, prospects and cap space in this thread is because we make up for how we gave up lots of futures from our past GM and partly our ownership since he ultimately runs this team too and he wants playoffs for revenue.

I can't see anyone taking OEL's contract and retaining a sizeable amount of money would be a waste given how tight against the cap the team will be for the next few years

Theodore is worth more than Miller alone. Not to mention that Whitecloud has good value being a cheap top 4 right handed defence option, & then you want a top prospect AND multiple 1st round picks for Miller?! … that’s a McDavid type return. Not JT Miller.

Debrusk has way more value than OEL.

That miller trade is a joke.
