Malkin would be fun, problem is that you can pencil him in to miss half the season. Assuming we traded Dumba and Fiala for futures I'd rather just save the cap and target one of Miller, Horvat, ROR, Barbashev, or Larkin in free agency that next offseason (though I bet those last two sign extensions this offseason).

Supposedly Malkin balked at 3 yrs $8.7M the exact same as what Crosby makes, so I don’t see him taking less.
