Description
Gaudreau-Barzal-Palmieri
This line should be an absolute force. Palmieri had a great 2nd half last year. Gaudreau coming off a career year along with Barzal's elite playmaking ability should be lethal.

Lee-Nelson-Beauvillier
This line really seemed to click during the 2nd half. Lee and Nelson were scoring like crazy and Beau was getting some points.

Parise-Pageau-Wahlstrom
This line was one of the only positives for the Isles in the 1st half. Parise and Pageau work extremely well together and Wahlstrom sparks a bit of offense for them. Wahlstrom has the potential to be a top line winger, but he's going to have to prove it 1st.

Nothing needs to be said about the 4th line

Nothing about Pelech-Pulock either

Dunn-Dobson should be very effective and should really drive play. Assuming both improve defensively as well, this should be a very good pairing.

Salo-Mayfield. Didn't see this too much last year but both are good in their own end and Salo has some ability to move the puck.

Barzal signs an 8 year, 9M extension during this offseason as well

Trades
1.
NYI
  1. 2022 2nd round pick (TBL)
OTT
  1. Bailey, Josh
Additional Details:
Ottawa has indicated they feel they are passed the rebuilding stage and want to make the playoffs with the young core. With a good amount of cap space, a veteran like Bailey, who can play a middle 6 role, has been extremely productive in the playoffs since 2019 (39 points in 49 games)
2.
NYI
  1. 2023 2nd round pick (WSH)
  2. 2024 3rd round pick (WSH)
WSH
  1. Varlamov, Semyon
Additional Details:
Washington's goaltending was atrocious last year. Still have a solid core and are still looking to win now with it despite the lack of postseason success since winning the cup. With not a lot of good goalies on the market (both trades and FA), Varlamov may be the goalie to help them achieve their goal
3.
NYI
  1. Dunn, Vince
Additional Details:
Dunn gives the Isles exactly what they need, a puck-moving LD. With 35 points last year, that'd put him in 2nd for points by defensemen for the Isles.
SEA
  1. 2022 2nd round pick (COL)
  2. 2022 2nd round pick (TBL)
  3. 2023 2nd round pick (WSH)
Additional Details:
While this may seem like an overpay, all these 2nds will be late. I don't think the Isles move their 1st unless they're getting an elite level player (Fiala, Kane, Chychrun) which I don't see them doing. Seattle is still not looking to compete next year and getting 3 2nd's for Dunn seems like a solid return.

Unfortunately. With how I see this playing out, it's either him, Greiss or another old goalie

I don't think any team is giving anything for Bailey. Especially not a second. I don't think Washington can afford Varlamov, not exactly sure there. Seattle likely just keeps Dunn, I think they want to keep him around. Cost more to dump panik.
