I dont know that Palat really fits with a 4 year deal. I think Yzerman could nab him on a 1 year deal with a promise to pick his team come playoff time and guarantee him that he plays in the playoffs no matter what. But I dont see him fitting into this core for a 4 year span.

Copp is questionable at the 5.75M. He really isnt worth that much outside of the handful of games he has played for New York. Is it something he can maintain going forward or is this just his F-you to Winnipeg? I think anyone paying him that much will end up regretting that.

I don't disagree, might be too much term on palat. Copp I'm actually not that sold on either but he could be a nice add for the right price. I just overpaid cause I could, probably have to beat out other teams.

I dont mind overpaying Copp to come here but only give him 2 years max then and give him the heads up that he has to prove thats what he is worth.
