Well, I'll try to explain. Georgiev had some... uh... not good numbers last year, but every time he's been given the starter job for an extended period of time he's lights out. Enter the Leafs.

Gurianov is not being used to his full potential and Dallas coach HATES him. Perfect buy-low.

Kubalik and Strome provide an outstanding scoring 3rd line with Nylander. Just great depth here

I don't know why Chicago takes that deal. Holl has limited value, Mrazek has negative value, and Muzzin is 33 and doesn't fit their rebuild timeline. Why would Chicago give up two of its more attractive RFAs for this spare change platter?

Kubalik probably doesn't get qualified by them anyways. Don't particularly know how they value Strome, figured maybe pick 24 is fair value?
