Description

As a follow-up to an earlier version where Canes kept Necas, here's what it could look like if they did decide to move on.

Feel like the Chyc deal is fair, open to tweaks but don't think it's a big underpay or anything like that. Trying to be unbiased as possible.

I like Skjei but think Chyc adds more of what this team needs. Zadarov brings more stability to third pair and some more physicality. Edmundson, Hakanpaa and Cole didn't really deliver in that role when they were brought in imo so maybe this one actually hits..

I don’t get why people are so quick to oust Brady Skjei. He’s been quite good for us and isn’t part of the team’s problems. And you’re over the cap.

It's an ACGM, the point is to scenario out different rosters for next season. Pretty sure all FOs do this with players they might like to see how / if they can improve. Like I said in the comments, I like Skjei and think he's been good for Canes and really improved. Chyc provides something that he doesn't and would be seen as an upgrade. Skjei is a candidate to be moved b/c he has a higher cap hit so to improve on the team with a flat cap you'd need to move salary out most likely.

You can go over the cap in the offseason - I'm 90k over lol, that can easily be maneuvered.....

Skjei is not returning a 1st and that package doesnt get you in ASU to talk to the GM of Zona
