Trade values are probably off but if WPG cannot sign PLD and he wants to move the Sabres have the cap room and the assets to make it happen. They have plenty of room to increase the salaries if they needed to in order to sign the FAs. We all know they will need to overpay to get guys to come to Buffalo.

The trade value is definitely off. I can understand wanting to dump Mittlestadt, but he is worth next to nothing.

If the Jets traded PLD they would want Cozens back which makes a trade difficult since Buffalo would be trading for him to play alongside Cozens. I don't know that there's a deal that would work for them unless they'd consider Krebs instead of Cozens. Either way they will want a young center coming back that is not named Mittelstadt.
